What I Offer
Executive Coaching
A calm, challenging space to think deeply, grow confidently, and lead with clarity.
My coaching is centred entirely around you. Your goals, your leadership, and the growth you want to create. Whether you’re navigating complexity, stepping into a bigger role, facing interpersonal challenges, or simply wanting space to reflect and reset, our work together is designed to help you move forward with clarity, confidence and purpose.
My Approach
-
Every coaching relationship begins with a free chemistry session. This is where we explore what you want to achieve, how we might work together, and (equally important) what coaching is and is not.
Once we begin, I take a flexible, non-directive approach, drawing on a range of techniques depending on your goals:
GROW framework for structure and clarity
Cognitive-behavioural tools for reframing thinking patterns
Solutions-focused methods to move you toward practical, meaningful change
Gestalt approaches (including empty chair) for navigating relationship or interpersonal tensions
The method always serves the client and never the other way around.
-
My style is calm, human and empathetic, but never passive.
I challenge respectfully and constructively, helping you gain insight and step into the leader you want to be. Clients often tell me that the combination of psychological insight and grounded leadership experience creates a rare balance of support and stretch. -
With 35 years of military leadership, including commanding 2,000 people, leading operations in challenging environments, and shaping strategy at Defence level, I understand pressure, complexity and responsibility.
I draw on that experience not to tell you what to do, but to help you think more clearly, lead more intentionally, and access untapped capability in yourself and your team.
-
People think differently in nature.
Movement and open space often unlock clarity that closed rooms cannot. For that reason, I offer coaching:
Online
At your workplace
At my home office in Bristol
Outdoors on the Clifton Downs / Ashton Court (60–90 mins)
Further afield in the Mendips or Brecon Beacons (half-day or full-day)
Outdoor coaching blends reflection, physical movement and psychological insight. Many clients find these sessions deliver profound clarity or breakthroughs in decision-making, confidence and perspective.
-
Coaching is my craft. I actively seek feedback and remain committed to lifelong learning, ensuring my clients experience a coaching partnership that is purposeful, ethical, and continuously evolving.
