Mountaineering & Rock Climbing
Safe, accessible adventures for beginners, improvers and anyone who wants to build confidence in the hills or on the rock.
Alongside my coaching and leadership work, I offer professionally guided hillwalking, mountaineering and rock-climbing experiences for individuals and small groups. As a Qualified Mountain Leader (summer and winter) and Rock Climbing Instructor, I support people at all stages of their outdoor journey, whether you're taking your first steps into the mountains or developing your climbing and navigation skills.
These experiences are designed to build confidence, competence and enjoyment in the outdoors.
What I Offer?

Perfect for beginners or indoor climbers wanting to experience the outdoors for the first time. Learn:
movement basics

Indoor sessions can be delivered at Redpoint Bristol, where I also work as a freelance instructor.

tying in, anchors and rope management
movement on natural rock

Experience classic UK mountains with a qualified and experienced leader.
Snowdonia, Lake District, Scotland, Brecon Beacons, Peak District and beyond
low-level skills days or big mountain days
suitable for individuals, pairs or small groups
If you want to go climbing or walking but don’t have a partner or the confidence to go alone, I can be that partner.

Equipment & Safety
I provide:
all technical climbing equipment (ropes, helmets, harnesses, hardware)
group safety gear
instructional resources and planning
You provide:
appropriate outdoor clothing
personal kit (rucksack, waterproofs, etc.)
climbing shoes (recommended but optional for beginners)
Safety is paramount. All activities follow Mountain Training guidelines, industry best practice and dynamic risk assessment.
